Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday cautioned some of her cabinet colleagues and also party leaders to show restraints in their comments so that the image of the government does not suffer.
The Prime Minister’s directives came in the wake of recent war of words between her adviser HT Imam and chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Law Suranjit Sengupta over an abortive action against two leaders of judges.
She held a separate meeting with some senior ministers and advisors after a cabinet meeting
at the Bangladesh Secretariat yesterday.
The cabinet colleagues of the Prime Minister who were present at the meeting included agriculture minister Matia Chowdhury, Law Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed and PM’s adviser HT Imam, sources said.
