সুইডেনে টিপাইমুখ বাধ বন্ধের দাবিতে মানববন্ধন
সুইডেন থেকে আবুবক্কর সিদ্দিক: সুইডেনে অধ্যয়নরত বাংলাদেশী ছাত্ররা ভারতের টিপাইমুখ বাধ বন্ধের দাবিতে মানববন্ধন ও গণসাক্ষর সংগ্রহ কর্মসূচি গ্রহন করেছে।
বুধবারে সুইডেনের রাজধানী স্টকহোম থেকে প্রায় ৬০০ কি.মি. উত্তর দিকে অবস্থিত উমিয়া শহরে এ মানববন্ধনের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে বাংলাদেশী ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন দেশের ছাত্ররা একাত্ততা ঘোষনা করে।
মানববন্ধন কর্মসূচির প্রধান আয়োজক এবং Ecology & Environmental Science Depertment এর ছাত্র নাজমুল আলম বলেন টিপাইমুখ বাধ নিয়ে আমাদের অবশ্যই চিন্তা করতে হবে এই জন্য যে, ভারত যেন ফারাক্কার মত আর কোনো মরণ বাধ করতে না পারে। আমরা সচেতন বাংলাদেশী ছাত্ররা এই -১৫ ডিগ্রী তাপমাত্রাতেও ক্লাসরুম ছেড়ে বাহিরে বেরিয়ে এসে প্রতিবাদ স্বরুপ মানববন্ধন করছি এবং সরকারের কাছে দাবি জানাচ্ছি যে ভারতের টিপাইমুখ বাধ বন্ধ করতে সরকার সর্বাত্মক কুটনৈতিক চেষ্টার মাধ্যমে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করবে।

Bangladeshi doctor wins 1st Gates Foundation award for vaccine innovation
DHAKA: The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation today(Wednesday) announced the first Gates Vaccine Innovation Award with Bangladeshi doctor ASM Amjad Hossain being its recipient.
“The award recognizes the work of Dr ASM Amjad Hossain, a former district immunization and surveillance medical officer in Bangladesh, whose implementation of an innovative approach to routine immunization provided thousands of children with access to life-saving vaccines,” said a statement of the Seattle-based foundation.

স্বল্পমেয়াদি জ্বরে কেমন হবে খাবার তালিকা

Administrator for two DCCs on Sunday
DHAKA: The government on Sunday is going to appoint administrators for two Dhaka City Corporations of south and north.
Highly placed sources in the LGRD ministry said Korshed Alam, Director general of Manpower, Employment & Training, is likely to be appointed administrator of DCC North while Khalilur Rahman, additional secretary of Primary & Mass Education, administrator of DCC South.
“Yes, the process to appoint administrators is completed,” LGRD Joint Secretary Abdul Malek told over telephone on Saturday night. But he would not name who are getting the appointment.
