The government has taken a decision to encourage private entrepreneurs to set up more captive power plants through simplifying regulations to generate power for mitigating the ongoing demand in the country.
The move of the government appears in response to the continued power outages despite the diversion of gas from CNG stations and KAFCO Fertilizer Factory to the power generation houses.
The decision of the government came following a meeting yesterday to encourage entrepreneurs to set up coal and furnace oil based captive and commercial power plants in the country to mitigate the ongoing power crisis.
