Woman killed by miscreants in Munshiganj
A woman was chopped to death by miscreants at Kuchiyamora village in Sirajdikhan upazila in broad day light Sunday. The deceased was identified as Jahanara Begum, 38, mother of three children and wife of Shafiuddin, a Bangladesh expatriate in Kuwait.
Police said a gang of miscreants entered the house of Jahanara at around 12 noon when all the inmates went out of the house.
They took her to her bed room tactfully from kitchen when she was cutting vegetables and chopped her to death.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.

Dhaka, Jan 30 (bdnews24.com) – Shafiqul Islam Shafique, the man who died allegedly in a clash between police and Jamaat-e-Islami workers, had been forced to go to the Jamaat procession, his brother claimed.
Police say they did not fire on the mass procession that Jamaat’s Rajshahi unit took out on Monday afternoon.
His elder brother Rafiqul Islam said Shafique was not involved in politics. “We heard that the procession was standing at a place peacefully when the clashes began. My brother died when he was running away. We heard that he was shot,” Rafique said.
Road crash kills two people in Joypurhat
JOYPURHAT: At least two people were killed and eight others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Akkelpur upazila of the district early Wednesday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident took place at Shonamukhi area of the upazila when a Akkelpur bound bus from Bogra fell into a road side ditch loosing control over the steering, leaving two people dead on the spot and eight others injured.
The injured were admitted to Bogra Ziauar Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Suspected killer of Natore Jubo Dal activist lynched
NATORE: A suspected killer of local Jubo Dal activist Shafiqul Islam Sabuj was lynched at Bingram Bazaar in Singra upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin, 38, of Bingram village. He was accused in three murder cases.

Chittagong, Oct 28 (bdnews24.com) — A housewife was electrocuted to death at her own house in Chittagong’s Dhalipara area under Chand Gao thana, according to police.
The deceased was identified as Runa Begum (32), wife of Mohammad Selim, who hails from the same area.
Mohammad Aziz, nayek, police camp in Chittagong Medical College Hospital told bdnews24.com, “Runa Begum came in contact with the electricity when she switched on the lights on Friday morning.”
