Bangladesh’s Secular Revolution

By K. ANIS AHMED

Women are powering the country’s rejection of radical Islam, but more must be done.

In the pantheon of Islamic states, Bangladesh seems an unlikely place for a secular revolution. It is a dry country with no bars, casinos or horse races.
