Ministry panel for ‘limited’ pvt coaching
Dhaka, Jan 23: The four-member education ministry committee, formed on January 4, has recommended the government to allow teachers to continue ‘limited’ private coaching for improvement of education.
The report submitted to the education minister Nurul Islam Nahid observed that the government should allow the on-going private coaching to maintain the current trend of better results in public examinations.

First-ever CETP likely to start operation on July 25
DHAKA, JULY 21: The first-ever central effluent treatment plant (CETP) of the country is likely to be pressed into service on July 25 at the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) in Savar.
The treatment plant was put up by D-Water C.E.T.P. Ecosystems Limited, Bangladesh, to make the DEPZ area a pollution-free zone.
Pran signs $3m trade agreement with Qatar
Dhaka, Apr 17 (UNB) – PRAN Export Limited (PEL), a concern of PRAN-RFL Group (PRG), has signed a $3m trade agreement with Masndoost Trading Est.(MTE) of Qatar.
Mizanur Rahaman, chief of PEL, and Mohammad Yasin, managing director of MTE, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies at PRG’s corporate office in Dhaka on Sunday.
PEL will export over $3m worth of Bangladeshi processed agro food to Qatar under the agreement.
Nazmul Islam, advisor of MTL, Gazi Md Abdul Alim, manager of PEL, and other high officials of both companies were present at the function.
